Is your Body-Love Conditional?

Let’s talk about UN-conditional love, shall we?

Most of us have love our body – WHEN it look a certain way.

We PROMISE ourselves that we’ll be SO happy with ourselves and our body once we lose the weight, stop the binging, heal the overeating.
 
We PROMISE ourselves we will love our body eventually – but right now, until we’ve lost the weight, we’ll hate it, judge it, blame it.

The thing is that you cannot HATE YOURSELF INTO LOVING YOURSELF.

You will never ever love your body once you’ve lost the weight if you don’t love it now. You will never ever love yourself 5 pounds from now if you don’t love yourself now.
 
That is why learning to love yourself, your body NOW is the ONLY way to heal your destructive relationship with food. Learning to accept where you are in this moment, at this time is essential when you truly want to live a life of freedom.
 
If you walk around berating yourself for not eating enough veggies, for having stretch marks, for STILL binging, for still not having that body of your dreams, for having regained the weight you lost on your latest diet, for not doing this and for doing thought, you’ll lose. Only every single time.
 
Making peace with your body is an act of practicing UN-conditional love. That means loving it at 150 pounds, 200 pounds or 110 pounds. That means loving it when it is sick or healthy. That means being OK with the binge, forgiving yourself for the overeating and accepting the place you’re in now.
 
You need to stop lying to yourself by telling yourself that you will be happy once the weight is gone because you won’t.
 
The issues, your issues, go deeper than that. Way, way, WAY deeper and you’ll have to heal those, get to your core, unbelieve all the lies you tell yourself – then you’ll be ready to accept and love your body. Then you’ll be happy – and your exact shape won’t matter one tiny bit.
